Amy takes 5 Grammys

Amy Winehouse won five awards. This includes Record of the Year, Song of the Year for "Rehab", Best New Artist, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance (For a solo vocal performance. Singles or Tracks only.)and Best Pop Vocal Album (For albums containing 51% or more playing time of VOCAL tracks.) for her album "Back to Black".

She performed two songs from "Back to Black" live by satellite from Riverside Studios in London.

However, the biggest surprise for the 50th anniversary of the Grammy Awards was jazz legend, Herbie Hancock who won Album Of The Year for his tribute to Joni Mitchell, River: The Joni Letters.
